This print is from a series of work developed from research into beliefs and folklore surrounding afterlife. The figures in this series exist in an imagined narrative of an underwater afterlife where we return to a fish form that we originally evolved from.
This linocut is printed from 2 blocks where the textured/organic marks are achieved through using a caustic etch on the lino. The layers include metallic silver ink, metallic copper and metallic gold ink which shimmer when caught in the light.
