Recycled Paper Decoration Workshop: Froebel 'Nordic' Star & Polish Starburst. 15th December.
Join me in making recycled paper decorations to make your home feel festive all year round. Using old prints, proofs, spare wrapping paper and decorative papers, you will follow along with the real time step-by-step paper folding tutorials via Zoom to create two different intricate paper decorations.
After the zoom session you’ll be ready to cover your whole house in these gorgeous handmade paper decorations. You can use them to decorate your home or workplace, give them as special handmade gifts, decorate your Christmas presents and Christmas tree!
Exploring your creativity is an important activity and it’s open to us all, regardless of our age and experience. You don’t need to have any experience in paper folding or origami, or any specialist tools to enjoy this workshop!
Having been teaching printmaking and working as a printmaker for 10 years, I am surrounded by mounds of spare papers and old prints and I know exactly how to re-purpose them!
Now, I am inviting you to explore paper folding techniques to give new life to your old prints or spare wrapping papers, all from the comfort of your own home.
What's included in the price?
A hands-on instructional 2-hour zoom workshop for you and your fellow students to follow along to, live. I will demonstrate how to make two different paper decorations step by step, live, while you follow along at home.
You will have the chance to ask questions while you’re making during the zoom workshop and share what you’ve made with the rest of the group.
In this workshop I will show you how to make a Froebel 'Nordic' Star & Polish Starburst Decoration
You will also be sent an invitation to join the online printmaking forum on slack.com to share your paper decorations, inspiration and feedback with the International printmaking at home community. On this forum I share weekly printmaking inspiration, which is perfect for if you are interested in print!
